We are a multi-disciplinary research group that studies the device physics of plastic electronic devices with the aim to develop innovations that will lead to better device performance and higher device energy efficiencies.  Our techniques are primarily experimental, although we also use theoretical and computational approaches to understand the results.

Plastic electronics involves the use of solution-processable pi-conjugated organic polymers, oligomers, nanoparticles, and possibly functionalised graphenes, as the conductor or semiconductor material in devices.

The devices studied in our group include light-emitting diodes for displays and lighting, field-effect transistors for flexible circuits, photodiodes for light detection, thin-film solar cells for light harvesting and others.
