1. Cognitive Systems Neurophysiology: We study the computational principles underlying cognitive flexibility employing multielectrode array recordings in primate prefrontal cortex

2. Development of neurotechnologies, such as closed-loop brain-machine interface systems employing rodent and primate models, and in collaboration with engineers in A*STAR, NUS and NTU.

3. Circuit-level deficits in neurological disorders (currently working in primate models of dementia)
