We are working on two-dimensional organic polymers including their design, synthesis, functions and applications and covalent organic frameworks including their chemistry, physics and materials. Based on molecular design and precise synthesis of new materials, we developed novel and edge-cutting functions and applications including semiconductors, light emitting, luminescence sensors, photodetectors, hydrogen evolution and water splitting, proton conduction and fuel cells, energy storage and batteries, heterogeneous catalysis including photocatalysis, organocatalysis and metallocatalysis, CO2 fixation and separation, CO2 reduction and utilization, removing pollutants from water and new water technology, and spin system and ferromagnetism.
