3. Cell and Molecular Biology
4. Mechanobiology
5. Biophysics

Our research is at the interface of cell biology, mechanobiology, and advanced imaging technology.  We seek to elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying essential mechanobiological processes such as cell migration, cell-cell interactions, and cell mechanosensing. These fundamental processes are critical in stem cell biology, and cancer metastasis. Our approach integrates molecular cell biology techniques with  development and application of advanced imaging technologies, such as super-resolution microscopy.  Our current focus is on the mechanobiology of stem cells and cell adhesions complexes.
