Research Areas
Brief Description of Research
1. Cell and Molecular Biology
2. Electrophysiology
3. Neurobiology
4. Cardiovascular Biology

His laboratory is interested in understanding the diversification of calcium channel function through alternative splicing and RNA editing in the nervous and cardiovascular systems. His laboratory also has an interest in understanding the role of nitric oxide in modulating iron transporter DMT1 function and in lysosomal and autophagic activities in neurons, with a particular interest in Parkinson’s disease.
