Brief Description of Research
  Molecular and cellular neurobiology


Research in my laboratory concentrates on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of neuronal/ glial cell growth, death, regeneration and their membrane dynamics. Current projects include:
1. The Nogo system and the endogenous cellular role of their components in CNS neuron and glial. Signalling mechanisms of CNS neuronal growth inhibitors, particularly the Nogo-Nogo receptor axis.
2. Brain-enriched small GTPases and their cellular and physiological roles.
3. SNARE molecules at the trans-Golgi network and endosome and their roles in neuronal growth and axonal transport.
4. Differentiation of mesenchymal cells along neuronal/glia lineage.
